Vintage Port is the high end of port releases. Only the best years are declared a vintage and used for this purpose. All of the best grapes from the best vineyards and from a single harvest are used in a given port wine. A 2003 vintage port contains only grapes from the 2003 harvest. This port wine is aged in oak and then aged in the bottle. This is the type of port you find in expensive cellars, waiting for decades to be enjoyed.
