Bordeaux

There is no denying the impressive dark ruby, saturated color, but once past the color, the absence of any bouquet other than vague, earthy, weedy notes is cause for concern. On the palate the wine offers a blast of tannin, wood, and earth, but little fruit, ripeness or charm. It should be drunk up over the next 4-5 years before it becomes even more out of balance.
