The 1989 is a ruby/purple-colored wine, oozing with extract. Full-bodied, richly perfumed, with the scent of super-ripe plums and minerals, it has an alcohol level of nearly 14%, relatively low acidity, but high tannins. Anticipated maturity: Now-2002.
