Trilogie de Château Le Pin - A blend of 3 different vintages : 2011/2012/2013
A blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot - grapes cultivated by big brother Château Le Pin. Château Le Pin only uses 100% Merlot for their wines.
Some may think that the Trilogie is some kind of second label like many big Château uses - for example
Mouton Rothschild produces Petit Mouton as second label
Latour produces Les Forts de Latour as second label ..... etc
But to my opinion it is rather another wine - with another taste and another marketing concept - but a perfect glass of wine.
Apparently the first Trilogie's where produced in the 90'ties and where only made for personal consumption.
The first commercial "Trilogie " where a little strange as they were made of only 2 different vintages - this was the blend 2003/2004 and later the 2005/2006 - 2007/2008 - 2009/2010.
Now their latest releases are again from 3 different vintages.
