2012 Puligny Montrachet les Meix - Guillemard Clerc

The youngest and thus the lightest in color, it is glimmering and very pale yellow, almost luminescent with a youthful  intensity.Right after pouring there was a faint waxy, resiny odor or even a slightly chemical smell. Luckily, it took only about 2 minutes to fully open and so quickly these smells were replaced. As soon as the wine had a little time to breathe it showed its true nature : incredibly fruity, as if someone had just filled the room with fruit baskets, and not just the fresh apple you can find in practically every white wine, but a real buffet here : ranging from all kinds of yellow stone fruit but stunningly a variety of red fruit too(red berries, raspberry and wild strawberries). It was delicate and complex with a touch of minerality (the pavement right after a rain shower) and a hint of freshly made toast as well. Very accessible in the mouth too but still raveling enough to be more than just a summer wine. Nice and fresh acidity here makes it fresh and lively, vibrant and sunlit. If you were to compare it to a car, this is your Corvette convertible.
